Highway Closures Due to Open Pit Blasting
A section of the Goldfields Highway will be closed to allow for open pit blasting in the coming weeks. The closures will be for short periods to allow for surface blasts which are a part of the remediation works on the western wall of the Super Pit, following a slip in March 2017.

In celebration of NAIDOC Week and KCGM’s continued commitment to inclusion and diversity on site, today KCGM hosted a barbeque lunch and an Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander flag raising ceremony at KCGM’s Black Street Gatehouse.

Today KCGM reaches 20 Million Ounces of Gold Poured
Today KCGM poured the 20 millionth ounce of gold for the company. This is the second historical moment for KCGM in June since it had reached another milestone earlier this month – 60 million ounces of gold poured from The Golden Mile on the 15th of June.

KCGM Gives Back to Local School
KCGM has committed $80,000, over four years to East Kalgoorlie Primary School, for support towards the delivery of their “Health and Well-being Program”. The primary focus of the program is to improve the school’s health-based education program, by reaching out to students and parents that are in crisis.

Historical Milestones – 60 Million Ounces of Gold from the Golden Mile and 20 Million Ounces of Gold from KCGM
June 2017 marks an historic occasion for the City of Kalgoorlie-Boulder – the pouring of the 60 millionth ounce of gold from Australia’s richest goldfield, Western Australia’s famous Golden Mile. It is also a significant moment in history for KCGM. Twenty million ounces of gold have been produced by the company since 1989 which is included within the 60 million ounce milestone for the Golden Mile.
