Historical Milestones – 60 Million Ounces of Gold from the Golden Mile and 20 Million Ounces of Gold from KCGM
June 2017 marks an historic occasion for the City of Kalgoorlie-Boulder – the pouring of the 60 millionth ounce of gold from Australia’s richest goldfield, Western Australia’s famous Golden Mile. It is also a significant moment in history for KCGM. Twenty million ounces of gold have been produced by the company since 1989 which is included within the 60 million ounce milestone for the Golden Mile.

KCGM Cassidy Centre – Official Opening
On the 11th May 2017, over 50 guests have been invited to attend the official opening of the Mt Charlotte Cassidy Centre which is located adjacent to the Cassidy Shaft. This is to celebrate the Mt Charlotte Underground Offices moving from the Sam Pearce location at Fimiston to the newly refurbished offices at the Cassidy Centre.

KCGM Safety Bonus: Brighter Future for Local Youth
The latest safety bonus will be donated to the Kalgoorlie-Boulder Youth Accommodation Service, enabling the service to continue to operate.

Rock Fall in Super Pit at KCGM
On Monday the 27th of March KCGM experienced some localized movement in an area referred to as the Williamstown Dolerite zone, on the western wall of the Fimiston Open Pit. This zone has been monitored for over 2 years.

KCGM Underground Offices Moving to Cassidy Centre
As of the 27 March, the Mt Charlotte offices, currently located at the Sam Pearce Decline will be moving to refurbished offices at the Cassidy Centre in Williamstown. The Mt Charlotte crew will be relocating on the 3 April.
