Executive Assistant

THE ROLE:

An exciting opportunity exists for a highly experienced Executive Assistant to join the dynamic leadership team at KCGM. Reporting to the General Manager (GM), you will be responsible for high levels of organisational support, planning activities and events and maintaining an efficient professional office. With opportunities to advance your career and skills, you will actively engage with and support the KCGM Senior Leadership Team (SLT), gain exposure to leadership programs and participate in discussions site-wide. You will have an influential role coordinating and collaborating with the administration team across site.

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES:

  • Maintain the GM’s daily, weekly and monthly diary, including prioritisation of communications and visitors
  • Arrange and coordinate meetings with internal and external stakeholders ensuring all required information is immediately available to the GM
  • Establish relationships with Government and Community Offices, including committees to which the GM belongs, to be able to effectively communicate on behalf of the GM
  • Prepare accurate and timely documentation such as project plans, reports, itineraries / run sheets and DMIRS submissions
  • Communicate and liaise with employees at all levels, Business Partners, Joint-Venture owners and key external stakeholders, to ensure relevant information is provided in a timely manner.

REQUIREMENTS:

  • Post-secondary qualifications in business studies or significant practical experience to an equivalent level
  • Minimum of 5 years in an administrative / secretarial role, with at least 2 years at a senior level
  • Significant experience and demonstrated ability at an advanced level in the use of the Microsoft Office suite
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication and interpersonal skills, with proven ability to build positive rapport with internal and external stakeholders
  • Highly organised and detail orientated, with the ability to effectively prioritise and coordinate a busy schedule in a high-pressure environment.
  • Proven experience in managing projects and planning events
  • Demonstrated ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a team
  • Flexibility to work outside standard office hours subject to work demands
  • Previous experience in the mining industry advantageous

Shutdown Scheduler

THE ROLE:

Reporting to the Senior Shutdown planner, you will create clear and structured schedules for the Shutdown Execution teams, the fundamental outcome is to engage with multiple stakeholders across the Operation to ensure the integration of Maintenance and Production activities, and to identify and mitigate risks in the scheduling process. The Shutdown Scheduler is a key role ensuring effective shutdown scheduling of an approved scope, that will enable the delivery of safe, resource and duration optimised shutdowns.

REQUIREMENTS:

  • Sound knowledge of Planning and Scheduling processes
  • Advance / Expert with the use of MS Project
  • Trade Certificate/Engineering degree or equivalent qualifications
  • Minimum of five (5) years in the mining or heavy industry with strong working knowledge of Maintenance Planning/Scheduling and CMMS with minimum of two (2) years in a similar role
  • Demonstrated ability to diagnose problems and identify potential solutions by thinking outside of the box to deliver alternative outcomes
  • Familiarity with relevant Australian Standards, and the Cyanide Code
  • Experience in Oracle EAM modules and Viziya Planning tools
  • National Police Clearance – valid within the last twelve (12) months

Shutdown Maintenance Engineer

THE ROLE:

The Shutdown Maintenance Engineer provides shutdown technical support for the Fimiston shutdowns to achieve on-time and target quality maintenance for the assets. This role ensures assets are maintained in accordance with all necessary maintenance standards and processes are designed optimising cost and equipment life and minimise downtime.

REQUIREMENTS:

  • Bachelor of Engineering (Mechanical) or equivalent experience with a trade qualification
  • Minimum five (5) years engineering support experience preferably in a heavy industrial environment
  • Experience in a gold or mineral processing environment
  • Ability to diagnose problems and identify potential solutions by thinking outside of the box delivering alternative outcomes
  • Familiarity with relevant Australian Standards, MSIR, Cyanide Code, preferred

Senior Mine Planning Engineer

THE ROLE:

KCGM are looking for a Senior Mine Planning Engineer to coordinate the development of short to medium term mine plans for the Fimiston Open Pit operations to ensure conformance with long term mine plans and strategic business objectives.  You may be required to cover as Quarry Manager from time to time, so a Quarry Managers certificate will be highly regarded.

REQUIREMENTS:

  • A minimum of five (5) years mine planning experience in an Open Pit environment
  • An unrestricted Quarry Managers Certificate of Competency highly regarded
  • Highly developed communication and influencing skills with the ability to liaise with all levels of the organisation
  • A Degree in Mining Engineering or Geology, or similar mining-related tertiary qualification
  • Working knowledge of Vulcan and Datamine, preferred
  • National Police Clearance – valid within the last twelve (12) months
  • Current Unencumbered Western Australian “C” Class Drivers Licence.

THE ROLE:

The Production Planning and Scheduling Supervisor supports the Processing Production teams in executing required tasks safely and on time. This is achieved through the coordination of planning around shutdown preparation, weekly maintenance schedules and breakdowns and execution of improvement projects..

Load and Haul Superintendent

THE ROLE:

Reporting to the Manager Mining – Open Pits, this integral position in the Open Pits Leadership Team provides leadership and mentoring to the Open Pit Load and Haul Team ensuring the team is performing optimally. This includes maintenance of stockpiles and achievement of total material movement being achieved according to the Mine Plan in a coordinated, cost effective, timely and safe manner.

The successful incumbent will be required to have the proficiency to act as the Manager Mining – Open Pits in their absence.

REQUIREMENTS:

  • Minimum of ten (10) years open pits hard rock mining experience, including at least eight (8) years at a senior leadership level in a medium to large operation
  • Demonstrated ability to diagnose problems and identify potential solutions by strategically thinking
  • Sound knowledge of the Mines Act and Regulations
  • Experience in performance management of team members enhancing team self-esteem using ability to coach, mentor and influence others, and the ability to build a strong performing team
  • Experience in budgeting, financial analysis and cost management

Open Pit Mine Geologist

THE ROLE:

Working a residential, family friendly roster (9:5), the Open Pit Mine Geologist is responsible for delivering the optimal ore grade to the Mineral Processing Plant, through accurate identification of mineralisation, delineation of ore blocks, and supervision of extraction to minimise dilution. This includes scheduling, supervision of RC drilling programs, modelling of the resulting data, and providing technical support to the operational team during mining.

REQUIREMENTS:

  • Tertiary qualification in Geology
  • Recent Geology graduates looking to start their career in the mining industry are encouraged to apply
  • Experience in an Open Pit mining environment, preferred
  • Experience with 3D mining software, preferred

THE ROLE:

An opportunity exists to join the KCGM Training & Development team as a Training Advisor – Support Services. Duties of the role include delivering in-house training courses, assessments, and development of training packages and procedures, reporting and record keeping. Senior Maintenance Planner

THE ROLE:

The Senior Maintenance Planner leads the team of planners and schedulers from Fimiston & Gidgi Fixed Plant, and the Site Services area. This role ensures that all maintenance activities undertaken within the plant are properly planned (resources, parts, equipment, tooling), sequenced and scheduled so that the work progresses in a safe, organised, timely and cost efficient manner and that plant is maintained to statutory and legislative requirements and KCGM standards.

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES

  • Ensure CMMS work flow management is followed to enable safe work practices to minimize the risk associated and to comply with statutory obligations
  • Coordinate priorities of Maintenance Planners to ensure work flow process is maintained to enable plant availability to run at optimal level
  • Monitor maintenance and analysing of maintenance systems to enable the quality of work to be measured and assessed against the maintenance plan, reporting on any variance to plan
  • Ensure all requirements of the maintenance plan are achieved within budget and forecast timetables are adhered to and accurate
  • Development and implementation of strategies of CMMS moving forward ensuring that data entry in the CMMS system is maintained to KCGM standards and procedures.

REQUIREMENTS:

  • Experience in the mining or heavy industry with strong working knowledge of Maintenance Planning and CMMS with minimum of two (2) years in a similar role
  • Experience in Oracle EAM modules and Viziya Planning tools

Senior Integrity Engineer

THE ROLE:

Leads a team in the execution of civil, or Integrity projects associated with capital and non capital related projects from initial concept development and feasibility analysis, through to construction and close out. Ensure all design work is reviewed prior to rectification or construction, and that the integrity works and classified equipment, conforms to all statutory standards and specifications.

REQUIREMENTS:

  • Bachelor of Engineering (Civil & Structural)
  • Minimum two (5) years’ experience in a similar role within the resources sector
  • Advanced computer literacy, in particular all aspects of Microsoft Office Suite
  • Knowledge of structural analysis and design software e.g. Space GASS, Microstran, SAP 2000
  • Proficiency in reading mechanical and civil/structural drawings

Integrity Engineer

THE ROLE:

An opportunity exists to join KCGM as an Integrity Engineer in this rewarding residential position. This role is responsible for assisting the Integrity team by providing technical support and engineering input to the planning and execution of the site wide Integrity Programs at KCGM.

REQUIREMENTS:

  • Bachelor qualification in Civil and/or Structural Engineering
  • Minimum of five (5) years practical Integrity Engineering working in highly corrosive environments within heavy industry and or civil and structures project work
  • Knowledge of corrosion technology and civil/structural repair methods
  • Good competency in civil and structural analysis and design
  • Practical skills of Project Management and knowledge of up-to-date project management tool and techniques
  • Ability to read and understand structural and mechanical drawings
  • Advanced level competency in using Microsoft Suite, MS Project, structural analysis software such as Space Gass and maintenance management systems such as SAP or Oracle
  • Knowledge of Tanks structural analysis and repair methods would be advantageous
  • Familiarity with relevant Australian and International Standards

Maintenance Technician - Fitter - Borefields

THE ROLE:

A unique opportunity now exists to join the KCGM Site Services team. This residential role will see you carrying out installation work, scheduled and breakdown mechanical maintenance to the KCGM Borefields to ensure optimum operating conditions are achieved.

REQUIREMENTS:

  • Minimum of two (2) years mechanical maintenance experience – Mine site-based beneficial
  • Pump maintenance experience highly regarded
  • Nationally Accredited Trades Certificate in Mechanical Fitting and/or Fitter Machining
  • Demonstrated knowledge of and experience in PVC and/or poly pipework and pump maintenance.
  • Demonstrated computer skills, in particular in MS Office, e.g. Excel, Word

Fixed Plant Fitters – Fimiston

THE ROLE:

Residential opportunities are available for Fixed Plant Fitters to work in our Fimiston team. You will be performing preventative, planned and breakdown mechanical maintenance at the Fimiston processing plant to ensure the ongoing reliability and efficiency of the plant.

REQUIREMENTS:

  • Relevant Nationally Accredited Trades Certificate
  • Post trade experience within the Mining Industry, preferred
  • Intermediate level of computer literacy
  • High Risk Work Licenses (eg. LF, WP, DG, RA)
  • Confined Spaces and Working at Heights Certificates

Jumbo Operator

THE ROLE:

This position will see you drilling blast holes and installation of ground support for underground tunneling to ensure underground production targets are attained or exceeded in a safe and effective manner.

REQUIREMENTS:

  • Extensive all-round underground operating experience
  • Proven experience as a Jumbo Operator
  • Current WA Dangerous Goods Security Card
  • Current WA Shotfirers’ Permit
  • Current WA Underground Shift Supervisor Certificate of Competency preferred
  • National Police Clearance – valid within twelve (12) months
  • Current Unencumbered Western Australian “C” Class Drivers License.
