Underground Shift Supervisor

THE ROLE:

Working at Mt Charlotte Underground Mine, the Shift Supervisor will coordinate and assign the daily activities of all underground production personnel to ensure production targets are achieved in a safe and efficient manner. In this role you will fulfil all legislative requirements expected of an Underground Shift Supervisor under the Mine Safety Inspection Act (1994) and Regulations (1995).

REQUIREMENTS:

  • A minimum five (5) years underground mining experience
  • Ideally, two (2) years’ experience in a supervisory role in a similarly sized operation or at foreman level within a larger operation
  • Have a demonstrated ability to react and diagnose problems to accurately identify and implement potential solutions in a timely manner
  • Highly developed interpersonal skills enabling liaison at all levels of the underground operation
  • Experience in coaching and performance management of team members to enhance team effectiveness
  • West Australian Shift Supervisors Certificate of Competency, essential
  • Dangerous Goods Clearance Card – required, West Australian Shotfirer’s Ticket – desirable
  • National Police Clearance – valid within the last twelve (12) months
  • Current Unencumbered Western Australian “C” Class Drivers Licence.

Senior Maintenance Planner

THE ROLE:

The Senior Maintenance Planner leads the team of planners and schedulers from Fimiston & Gidgi Fixed Plant, and the Site Services area. This role ensures that all maintenance activities undertaken within the plant are properly planned (resources, parts, equipment, tooling), sequenced and scheduled so that the work progresses in a safe, organised, timely and cost efficient manner and that plant is maintained to statutory and legislative requirements and KCGM standards.

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES

  • Ensure CMMS work flow management is followed to enable safe work practices to minimize the risk associated and to comply with statutory obligations
  • Coordinate priorities of Maintenance Planners to ensure work flow process is maintained to enable plant availability to run at optimal level
  • Monitor maintenance and analysing of maintenance systems to enable the quality of work to be measured and assessed against the maintenance plan, reporting on any variance to plan
  • Ensure all requirements of the maintenance plan are achieved within budget and forecast timetables are adhered to and accurate
  • Development and implementation of strategies of CMMS moving forward ensuring that data entry in the CMMS system is maintained to KCGM standards and procedures.

REQUIREMENTS:

  • Experience in the mining or heavy industry with strong working knowledge of Maintenance Planning and CMMS with minimum of two (2) years in a similar role
  • Experience in Oracle EAM modules and Viziya Planning tools
  • Demonstrated ability to diagnose problems and identify potential solutions by thinking outside of the box to deliver alternative outcomes
  • Experience in performance management of team members enhancing team self esteem using ability to coach, mentor and influence others.
  • Highly developed interpersonal skills enabling liaison at all levels of the organisation
  • Mechanical or Electrical Trade Certificate and/ or Degree in Engineering
  • National Police Clearance – valid within the last twelve (12) months
  • Current Unencumbered Western Australian “C” Class Drivers Licence.

Underground Mechanical Fitter

THE ROLE:

Working a family-friendly roster, you will be responsible for undertaking preventative and breakdown maintenance of the underground mobile plant fleet to ensure maximum availability for production.

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES:

These include scheduled maintenance of mobile plant to ensure availability of fleet, as indicated by the mining and maintenance schedules, as well as diagnosis and repair of mobile plant both in the workshop and in the field. Our fleet includes Toyota light vehicles, and CAT and Atlas Copco machinery.

REQUIREMENTS:

  • Relevant Trade Qualifications
  • Post Trade experience in heavy duty fitting, preferably within an Underground Mining environment
  • Excellent planning, time management and organisational skills
  • National Police Clearance (valid within the last 12 months)
  • Current unencumbered Western Australian “C” Class Drivers Licence.

Electrician - Fimiston (Shift)

THE ROLE:

An exciting opening is now available for an enthusiastic Electrician to join our KCGM Operations. This essential position will see you performing preventative and ongoing breakdown electrical maintenance to the Mineral Processing plant to ensure the plant continues to function at optimum gold production levels. In addition, this position will see you working a 4:4 (2 Day, 2 Night, 4 off) roster, promoting work/life balance with 5.9 weeks annual leave per annum.

ESSENTIAL REQUIREMENTS:

  • Minimum three (3) years post-trade experience in a mining environment.
  • Western Australian A-Grade Electrical Licence
  • National Police Clearance – valid within the last twelve (12) months
  • Current Unencumbered Western Australian “C” Class Driver Licence.
  • Previous Shift work experience highly desirable

Training Officer - Mineral Processing

THE ROLE:

In the role of Training Officer, your main duties are to work within the Training Team to support, coordinate and deliver site safety, on-line and one on one support training to the Mineral Processing and Assets Departments. This is to ensure personnel are appropriately educated to the correct level in order to complete all required tasks of their position in a safe and efficient manner.

REQUIREMENTS:

  • Minimum two (2) years Mineral Processing experience as either a Trainer or Operator
  • Excellent time management and organisational skills with the ability to prioritise a changing workload
  • Computer Literacy to enable record management utilising Microsoft and site specific programs
  • Certificate IV Training and Assessment
  • Confined Space and Working at Heights Tickets
  • First Aid Certificate
  • National Police Clearance (valid within last 12 months)
  • Current Unencumbered Western Australian “C” Class Drivers Licence.

Communication Technician

THE ROLE:

In this role, you will undertake routine and breakdown maintenance on a range of communication systems and equipment within the Open Pit mining area to support the provision of fully functional dispatch, communications and reporting systems that meet production requirements.

REQUIREMENTS:

  • Excellent communication skills including the ability to communicate at all levels of the organisation
  • Highly developed computer literacy, in particular, Microsoft Excel
  • Developed Information Technology networking skills
  • Certificate III in Radio Communications / Electronic Servicing or other relevant discipline and/or experience
  • Literacy in Wenco Dispatch Systems, Motorola Mesh and Canopy Systems, is preferable
  • Experience with Programmable Logic Controller (PLC) and Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition (SCADA) systems, is preferable
  • National Police Clearance – valid within the last twelve (12) months
  • Current Unencumbered Western Australian “C” Class Drivers Licence.

THE ROLE:

An opportunity exists to join the Mining Team in the position of Voids Technician. This technical support role involves working as part of a team to identify void areas to ensure that the hazards associated with remnant mining are managed and work is completed in safe manner.

REQUIREMENTS:

Essential

Maintenance Poly Welder – Mechanical

THE ROLE:

Based in the Assets Department, this unique opportunity is responsible for performing preventative, planned and breakdown poly welding maintenance at the Fimiston or Gidji processing plants to ensure plant availability.

REQUIREMENTS:

  • Mechanical Trades Certificate with Poly welding certificate.
  • Minimum two (2) years post-trade experience in a mechanical maintenance role.
  • Knowledge of AS/NZS 2033:2008 and other relevant Australian Standards for the installation of HDPE piping
  • Nationally Accredited Forklift Licence.
  • Elevated Work Platform Certificate.
  • Dogging Certificate.
  • Gantry Crane Certificate.
  • Confined Spaces Certificate.
  • Working at Heights Certificate.

Truck Operators - Crusher

Interested in  variety? This pivotal role will see you working in a fast paced and dynamic team environment. Maximising production and processing opportunities by focussing on the efficient rehandling of ore for seamless delivery to the primary crusher, transporting various materials across KCGM tenements and operating smaller equipment within the processing plant.

Process Technicians

The Role:

KCGM are looking for experienced Process Technicians to join our Mineral Processing team. Working a 4/4 roster, this position will see you monitoring and maintaining assigned operations and equipment within the Mineral Processing Plant to optimise circuit availability and gold recovery.

Essential Requirements:
