Training Officer - Mineral Processing

THE ROLE:

In the role of Training Officer, your main duties are to work within the Training Team to support, coordinate and deliver site safety, on-line and one on one support training to the Mineral Processing and Assets Departments. This is to ensure personnel are appropriately educated to the correct level in order to complete all required tasks of their position in a safe and efficient manner.

REQUIREMENTS:

  • Minimum two (2) years Mineral Processing experience as either a Trainer or Operator
  • Excellent time management and organisational skills with the ability to prioritise a changing workload
  • Computer Literacy to enable record management utilising Microsoft and site specific programs
  • Certificate IV Training and Assessment
  • Confined Space and Working at Heights Tickets
  • First Aid Certificate
  • National Police Clearance (valid within last 12 months)
  • Current Unencumbered Western Australian “C” Class Drivers Licence.

Maintenance Poly Welder – Mechanical

THE ROLE:

Based in the Assets Department, this unique opportunity is responsible for performing preventative, planned and breakdown poly welding maintenance at the Fimiston or Gidji processing plants to ensure plant availability.

REQUIREMENTS:

  • Mechanical Trades Certificate with Poly welding certificate.
  • Minimum two (2) years post-trade experience in a mechanical maintenance role.
  • Knowledge of AS/NZS 2033:2008 and other relevant Australian Standards for the installation of HDPE piping
  • Nationally Accredited Forklift Licence.
  • Elevated Work Platform Certificate.
  • Dogging Certificate.
  • Gantry Crane Certificate.
  • Confined Spaces Certificate.
  • Working at Heights Certificate.
  • National Police Clearance – valid within the last twelve (12) months

Mine Maintenance Contract Supervisor

THE ROLE:

Responsible for the maintenance of the open pit hauling and ancillary fleet, the Mine Maintenance Contract Supervisor will manage the maintenance contract in order to meet budget equipment availability, reliability and costs in a safe, timely and environmentally responsible manner.

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES:

  • Liaise with customers and stakeholders on all matters affecting performance, availability, reliability and condition in order to maximise availability and life of equipment
  • Offer timely, well considered technical support and direction to the Mobile Maintenance team, providing proactive coaching, mentoring and leadership
  • Manage the fleet maintenance contracts to deliver budgeted availability and cost targets.

REQUIREMENTS:

  • Ten (10) years’ experience in maintenance roles within a mining or heavy industrial environment, including at least five (5) years at supervisor level
  • Relevant trade qualification or degree in Engineering (Mechanical or Electrical preferred)
  • Experience in asset and contracts management
  • Excellent computer skills in Word, Excel and Project, and experience in the use of modern maintenance databases
  • National Police Clearance – valid within the last twelve (12) months
  • Current Unencumbered Western Australian “C” Class Drivers Licence.

Reliability Engineer - Mobile Maintenance

THE ROLE:

The role of the Reliability Engineer is to identify and manage activities to improve the overall performance of KCGM’s mining fleet. This includes managing asset reliability risk, fleet availability, cost and equipment performance. You will manage the mining fleet Defect Elimination program, conduct failure investigations and coordinate equipment improvement projects for the mobile fleet.

REQUIREMENTS:

  • Bachelor degree or trade qualification in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering or similar
  • Minimum three (3) years reliability engineering experience preferably with heavy mobile equipment
  • Strong understanding of engineering theories and applications are essential
  • Advanced Excel and Visual Basic tools required for data analysis
  • Ability to diagnose problems and identify potential solutions by thinking outside of the box delivering alternative outcomes
  • National Police Clearance – valid within the last twelve (12) months
  • Current Unencumbered Western Australian “C” Class Drivers Licence.

Underground Mechanical Fitter

THE ROLE:

Working a family-friendly roster, you will be responsible for undertaking preventative and breakdown maintenance of the underground mobile plant fleet to ensure maximum availability for production.

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES:

These include scheduled maintenance of mobile plant to ensure availability of fleet, as indicated by the mining and maintenance schedules, as well as diagnosis and repair of mobile plant both in the workshop and in the field. Our fleet includes Toyota light vehicles, and CAT and Atlas Copco machinery.

REQUIREMENTS:

  • Relevant Trade Qualifications
  • Post Trade experience in heavy duty fitting, preferably within an Underground Mining environment
  • Excellent planning, time management and organisational skills
  • National Police Clearance (valid within the last 12 months)
  • Current unencumbered Western Australian “C” Class Drivers Licence.

Jumbo Operator

THE ROLE:

This position will see you drilling blast holes and installation of ground support for underground tunnelling to ensure underground production targets are attained or exceeded in a safe and effective manner.

REQUIREMENTS:

  • Extensive all-round underground operating experience
  • Proven experience as a Jumbo Operator
  • Current WA Dangerous Goods Security Card
  • Current WA Shotfirers’ Permit highly desirable

THE ROLE:

An exciting opening is now available for an enthusiastic Electrician to join our KCGM Operations. Shutdown Planner

THE ROLE:

At KCGM, the Shutdown Planner ensures that all maintenance activities undertaken within the plant shutdowns are properly planned (resources, parts, equipment, tooling), sequenced and scheduled so that the work progresses in a safe, organised, timely and cost efficient manner. This minimises shutdown downtime and also ensure plant reliability between shuts, whilst also meeting the maintenance budget.

REQUIREMENTS:

  • Five (5) years practical experience in a maintenance environment, preferably in mining/minerals processing, including two (2) years’ experience with computer-based maintenance planning and scheduling
  • Bachelor of Engineering (Mechanical, Civil, Electrical) or Trade qualification with relevant experience
  • Ability to diagnose problems and identify potential solutions by thinking outside of the box delivering alternative outcomes
  • Ability to communicate effectively at all levels with excellent presentation skills
  • Experience working with Oracle, SAP, JDE, EMPAC or similar CMMS, desirable
  • Competent user of MS Office Suite (MS Excel, MS Word, MS Project, MS Outlook)
  • Experience in shutdown management, preferably in a mining/minerals processing environment, highly regarded
  • Current Unencumbered Western Australian “C” Class Drivers Licence
  • National Police Clearance – valid within the last twelve (12) months

Truck Operators - Crusher

Interested in  variety? This pivotal role will see you working in a fast paced and dynamic team environment. Process Technicians

The Role:

KCGM are looking for experienced Process Technicians to join our Mineral Processing team. Working a 4/4 roster, this position will see you monitoring and maintaining assigned operations and equipment within the Mineral Processing Plant to optimise circuit availability and gold recovery.

Essential Requirements:

  • A minimum of one (1) year experience in a similar position
  • Experience within the mining industry
